Beginning

Ratisha was raised in Pahokee, FL by her grandparents, Cuthbert and Doris Edwards. She attended Canal Point Elementary School. While in school she spent countless hours volunteering in the special education classrooms. She also used her abilities to create different dance groups through out Pahokee, giving children an outlet to express themselves through dance and music. Her achievements and abilities as a student resulted in her receiving a music scholarship to attend Florida A&M University to be apart of the Marching 100. At Florida A&M University, she earned a BS degree in Computer Information Systems. After graduating from Florida A&M University, she went on to receive a MS degree in Computer Information Systems from University of Phoenix and several IT certifications.

Career

Upon graduating from Florida A&M University, Ratisha was recruited to work as a computer programmer for Lockheed Martin’s Aerospace Division. Her responsibilities in this position were to create and maintain software that processed, stored and retrieved data.

In 2016, Ratisha landed a job as an Application Manager at the Pentagon under the direction of Press Secretary Dana White and Secretary of Defense John Mattis. At the Pentagon, she managed a team of engineers and was responsible for advising and assisting in the development and maintenance of DOD web applications.

Entrepreneurship

Ratisha started her own technology company QUAD22 Technologies in 2017 with the goal to improve the IT structure, strategy and stature of small businesses through consulting. QUAD22 Tech seeks partnership with educational entities to implement training programs that would effectively up-skill participants who currently have non-technical careers into IT professionals.

Philanthropy

Ratisha is committed to improving the lives of others. She is the founder of Quad22 Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the lives of individuals through educational entrenchment programs, mentoring and development, and community outreach.   

 

Growing up as an at risk child and having a child with autism of her own, Ratisha created The Quad22 Foundation a special focus on servicing special needs and at-risk children.
